We emphasize on teaching parents to explore how to enhance their children’s learning and memory by optimizing brain health, examining how stress, sleep, nutrition, obesity, abuse, drugs, exercise, gender, and environment can enhance or endanger brain development, learning, test taking, and academic performance, as well as ways that can be useful to augment their functioning.

Compassionate Communication Workshop
Many parents, couples, children, siblings, and coworkers have problems understanding their own needs and communicating them to each other. Using tools deriving form NVC, a compassionate and self-understanding approach, this workshop will help paricipants to express their feelings and needs effectively, listen to others when in heated argument, communicate in ways that voices are heard, minimize misunderstanding, anger and guilt, and connect with each other on a compassionate ground. Therefore, conflicts can be resolved and hurtful feelings can be removed.
Anyone interested in self-improvement and good relationship can take advantage of this workshop.

Slimming Fast, Slimming Right
Many people struggle with low self-worth because of their body size; they often deny their deeper needs and desires by attempting endlessly to lose weight even if it means starving and hurting themselves. In this program we educate participants on safe and healthy ways of losing weight while addressing the belief that their conflicted relationship with food reflects a hunger for connection to the self and to others. Their hunger is not for food but for their own power gained through accepting aspects of self that have been silenced, threatened or oppressed by our culture. Professionals speaking in this program include acupuncturist, herbalist, nutritionist, and psychologist.
